The Character I liked to illustrate and nobody cared

During the period of my illustration job, I always wanted to bring some interesting characters that nobody would care or maybe seem to care. But I kinda liked the way to play with kids to see if they remember anything from last year. For the Persian New Year (or Norooz) which happens every spring, Salamat magazine had to be released  in special new year edition for holidays. I knew that in every year, people celebrate Norooz with fireworks, parties and some blowing things for fun (Like Thanksgiving). I decided to use an occurring character who loves to blow things up for celebration. But every time it ends up in a disaster. I never come up with any kind of design for him. Just a Pure black fella with two shocked eyes and super straight hair with match in his hand. I realized the only person who really liked it was me. But I don't know.. maybe some one did exist to liked it besides me...!

Some missed Salamat illustrations

One of the best Experience I had in Salamat magazine was Experimenting with different styles and genre in Illustration. It was really fun but some of them were not fun for editor. The cigarettes illustration about smoking hazard for example. They said it was too scary and drive kids away from magazine. I disagreed with them but what you're gonna do when they really are so stubborn to publish some cool things. Any way they didn't publish it and put some guy's pic instead who was smoking. That's not scary. Yeah..!

Conan Show Artwork in Chicago

Couple weeks ago something really nice happened to me and it was the offer for doing an illustration for Vending machines and also T-shirts and also Post Cards for Conan O'Brien's Show in Chicago. It was really something which I call Amazing. My illustration was actually on every side of that machine with T-shirts in it which also had my illustrations. I've never seen my work in that big size.
